Since the GDPR came into force, organisations have had to keep up with multiple developments including new regulatory guidance, enforcement actions, international data transfer rules, and evolutions in privacy laws and regulations throughout the world. The UK left the EU, a new Information Commissioner was appointed, and changes to the UK's post-Brexit data protection regime were announced. This has cast doubt on the future of the UK’s adequacy status with the EU and raised concerns about the implications for UK organisations as well as multinationals.
